Licensure & Regulatory Disclosure

Effective October 1, 2026·Last updated October 1, 2026

Harmony is a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy operating under the oversight of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and applicable federal regulations. This page summarizes our regulatory standing, scope of practice, and the disclosures patients, providers, and regulators can use to verify our pharmacy.

We keep the disclosures on this page current as licensing and certification actions complete. To verify any item independently, contact the Texas State Board of Pharmacy directly or reach our pharmacy team.

Section 02

Pharmacist in Charge

Every Harmony prescription is reviewed and released by a licensed pharmacist. The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is the licensed pharmacist legally responsible for the operation of the pharmacy.

Section 03

Where we serve

Harmony is licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Whether we can serve a patient or prescriber outside Texas depends on the law of that state.

Patients and prescribers should call the pharmacy at +1 (346) 649-6888 to confirm whether Harmony can serve their location.

Section 04

Federal scope (503A)

Harmony operates within the 503A scope of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. 503A pharmacies compound medications for identified patients based on valid prescriptions.

  • Every medication is dispensed to an identified patient with a valid prescription.
  • Some preparations are compounded in batches, or lots, in limited quantities matched to prescriber orders, as permitted by section 503A.
  • Each lot is documented, tested as required, assigned a beyond-use date, and traceable to the patients who received it.
  • We do not operate as a 503B outsourcing facility or as a manufacturer.
Section 05

Prescription requirement

All compounded preparations are dispensed only upon receipt of a valid prescription from a licensed prescriber who has established a legitimate prescriber-patient relationship.

  • We do not dispense a prescription that lacks an authorized prescriber, a valid prescriber-patient relationship, or required clinical information.
  • Prescriptions are reviewed by a licensed pharmacist for clinical appropriateness before being entered into the compounding workflow.
  • If we decline a prescription, we notify the prescriber, and the patient when appropriate, with the reason.
Section 06

Compounded preparations & FDA

Compounded preparations are not FDA approved. 503A compounded medications are dispensed to identified patients on valid prescriptions and are not subject to FDA premarket approval for safety or efficacy. This means FDA has not reviewed them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are dispensed.

Your prescriber decides whether a compounded medication is right for you.

Section 07

Standards and certifications

We compound following United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards, as required by Texas rules:

  • USP General Chapter 795, nonsterile compounding.
  • USP General Chapter 797, sterile compounding.
Section 08

Verification, complaints & recalls

Patients, providers, and regulators can verify our pharmacy, submit complaints, and follow recalls through the following channels:

  • Texas State Board of Pharmacy for license verification and complaints at pharmacy.texas.gov.
  • Recalls: when we recall a lot, we notify affected patients and prescribers and post the notice in our news and recall notices.
